The purpose of the Friends of the Juneau-Douglas City Museum is to Support, Protect, and Promote the Juneau-Douglas City Museum. Our mission is satisfied by supporting the activities and goals of the Juneau-Douglas City Museum, protecting and caring for the Museum’s collections, and promoting community awareness of Juneau-Douglas history through education, exhibits, collections, and public programs.
FoJDCM efforts are guided by the following goals:
Support important Juneau history and art acquisitions
Upgrade exhibit display cases
Fund additional collection displays and exhibits
Support public receptions
Support and promote community programs and history lectures
Grow the Friends membership
